WHAT'S NEW
We are excited to announce that in the Fall of 2011, PAYE is partnering with the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC), an organization founded in 2003 by the former City Summit Alliance (now CivicAction). TRIEC's goal has been to create and champion solutions to better integrate Internationally Educated Professionals (IEPs) in the Greater Toronto Region labour market.
The joint PAYE/TRIEC partnership will look at ways to draw on:
- TRIEC's success in generating solutions to ensure skilled immigrants are integrated into the local labour market, and
- PAYE's highly effective model that has helped to provide employment and educational opportunities for youth.
This Fall, the PAYE/TRIEC partnership will focus on connecting both youth and IEPs to quality employment opportunities, as always, with the help of our committed employer partners.
If you are an employer, your organization can get involved in this pilot initiative, by:
- offering exclusive job opportunities appropriate for youth and/or IEPs
- providing skill development or training opportunities, and/or
- participating in a large-scale Learning Forum.
In return, you will be gaining access to a highly skilled and diverse workforce that is well prepared to compete for the variety of skilled opportunities that you are looking to fill. You will also be helping to provide the kinds of opportunities that have the potential to transform lives and revitalize neighbourhoods.
